I quit highlighting my hair 10 years ago when I was 60, and I don't regret it. Sometimes as an older woman I feel invisible but not usually. You are correct in saying we need to be grateful for every day and show each other grace!
I've tried to be inclusive and compassionate toward older people, but I know I've also dismissed them at times. So, as I age, I guess I deserve some dissing. And those that dis me, will eventually get old and the cycle will continue for them. Unless we are able to turn things around as a society. But I'm not holding my breath. P.S. You have a lovely hair color, and very stylish cut!
I let myself go gray a couple years ago. Now, at 51, my gray-white-blonde hair is my own actual, natural color for the first time in 30 years. I love it--mostly. In some lights, it still shocks me. : )
I’ve always thought you have beautiful hair! I wish we could see a mock-up of what we’ll look like in gray…you know, try it on to see if it fits. Oh well…time will tell!
