What fun to meet another Linda on this early Sunday morning! Here's the titles and stories that have kept me occupied ...

Thanks for checking out my Bookstack, Linda! I had fun perusing your bookbag as well. I'm still reading some of your other posts and see several connections in addition to our names, LOL. Would be happy to cross-post with you at some point!

I'm currently reading Sarah's book as well. And also underlying and bookmarking on every page it seems like. She has such a way with words!

I've read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn maybe three times since I was a teenager? Each time I love it, then wait a long time, read it again, and then love it again.

I couldn't get into Demon Copperhead. It was all the rage last year, I know, but I'm a big fan of David Copperfield and my brain kept trying to find the parallels between the two books instead of just enjoying the story as she wrote it. Maybe it just wasn't the right time.

Thanks for your comments, Aimee! I agree, Sarah’s writing is lovely. And the title of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn was vaguely familiar to me but I had never read it.

I’ve also never read David Copperfield. I enjoyed Demon C, but it seemed to drag in the middle. If you didn’t get into it on the first attempt, I don’t know if I’d recommend a second try. There are too many books available to spend time on the ones that aren’t right for you!

I enjoyed this, Linda! I have read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn twice, once as a middle schooler and once as an adult. Great read!

I am currently working my way through the Visual Theology 2024 reading challenge. You can read up to 104 books! (I’m up to 53 so far) 😳 It’s giving me lots of reading material I normally might not pick up. 🤓

Wow, Cheryl! I Googled it and your challenge looks like fun. I like that there are different levels and you still get to pick most of your books. I'm a slow reader, but if I hit my challenge this year, next year I'm going to shoot for 50.
