I limit my newsfeed because otherwise I'll get snarky and no one needs that. Many of my friends are split down the middle on the current administration and I'd like to keep all of them as friends. I read The Lost Bookshop and found it quite magical! Getting lost in books and yarn saves my sanity. I'm reading Angela Hunt's Sisters of Corinth series and awating the next one.

Thanks for the suggestion, Linda! And I know what you mean about getting snarky on socials. Whenever I do, I regret it once the comments start rolling in. Still, I'm often torn between silence and speaking the truth (in love, I hope).

I haven't read any of yours but added a couple to my Libby list. Favorites so far the year: The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry (audiobook), Elegy for Eddie (audiobook), The Great Alone,(audiobook), Lady Tan's Circle of Women (audiobook), Becoming Mrs. Lewis (audiobook), Glamorous Notions (Kindle)

I loved Lady Tan’s Circle of Women, and The Storied Life of AJ Fikry has been on my actual book stack for a couple of years. I don’t even know where I got it from but have heard many rave reviews. Thanks for the other suggestions, Cathy!

I read Huck Finn after James. James peaked my curiosity! Some events are the same. Some aren't.

Have you read James by Percival Everett? That was a Christmas gift from Kirk. Dave and I both read it. Very good! Also A Wild and Heavenly Place, MillerValley, and The Frozen River were standouts so far this year. They are all on my Goodreads page. I will add Savannah Guthrie's book to my Want to Read list. Thank you!

You just reminded me that I should read James next! Jared was reading it here over Christmas and accidentally left it behind, so I need to read it before I see him again in April. I'd like to read Huck Finn first though, since it's been forever since I read or watched it. I'll also check out your other suggestions...thanks!

I will check those out. The best books are the ones that make me laugh and cry! The only thing is, I sometimes hate to start a series, because—not being a fast reader—I feel locked in with not enough time to read the whole series and all the other books I want to read. But at least a 4-book series is better than 20, LOL! Thanks for chiming in!
