Whew! What a week!
If your inbox is like mine, it’s been exploding with Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, and Giving (or Travel) Tuesday ads…ad nauseam!
And then, if you’re like me, you’ve done some online shopping, which brings order confirmations, shipping notifications, delivery updates, and review requests!
Emptying my email inbox has been eating up hours in my day like the family ate up turkey on Thanksgiving. Please make it STOP!
Considering all that, I apologize for adding another pesky message to your inbox. I’ve been waiting for things to slow down. As far as I know, no one has yet invented a catchy “Wednesday” phrase. Maybe we should call for a “Wistful Wednesday” as we yearn for the simpler days before email and the internet.
I’m sorry. I said I’d be quick and now I’m rambling on about days gone by. 🙄
To the point.
I have a pile of books in the corner of my office yearning for a good home. The first, my devotional book, Lent Through the Little Things, would make an excellent Christmas gift! (Lent begins on March 5, just ten weeks after Christmas.) This book has surpassed the hopes I had for it, and I’m humbled every time a reader shares how it has blessed them.
There’s also This Reimagined Empty Nest, a compilation of short inspirational stories, poems, and reflections on embracing change, redefining relationships, and finding renewed purpose after the kids leave home.
Both books are on sale NOW through Saturday at midnight, for 25% off.
I would be happy to sign or personalize your purchases (just reply to this email, send a direct message through “Chat” on Substack, or send a note through the “Contact” link on my website).
This is your chance to get a special gift for someone on your list (or for yourself), AND to help me clean up that corner in my office.
