Sheβs arrived! π£ππ
Empty-Nest Joyride made her debut into the world today and sheβs ready to fly!
Iβll keep todayβs letter short, so youβll have time to go get the book! π But also, because Iβm too exhausted to write anything coherent. π₯±
One thing Iβve learned is that launching a book is not for the faint of heart! There were a few times this week I thought my brain might explode with all the different tasks I was trying to juggle. But giving birth was never easy, was it?
Iβve also learned that community, friendship, and support make all the difference! I was not alone, as my faithful launch team stood by me. They graciously read an early copy of the book, shared graphics in their online social circles, and gave me many messages of encouragement. They kept me going! Thanks, gals!
And finally, Iβve learned (and am still learning) to let go. There comes a point in every parentβs life when we need to let our babies fly and become what they were meant to be. We still care about them, touch base with them often, and pray for them to influence the world in a positive way. But we need to let them go and do their thing.
So, Iβm letting another baby fly away today. Sheβll take on a life of her own now, and only God knows whose lives sheβll impact, what influence sheβll have, and where sheβll end up. Iβm trusting him to do his part.
Thanks for taking this journey with me. If you see my baby out there, say hello, and invite her in! Sheβd love to spend some time with you.
If you know an empty nester, a soon-to-be e-nester, or even a full-for-now-nester, please share. This book is about marriage, children, transitionsβand staying the course through lifeβs ups and downs. Thereβs a message here for all sorts of βnesters.β
Congratulations, Linda! Iβm ordering it now π
Congratulations! The book launch is certainly a thrill ride but a joyful one at that :)
