Are you drowning in an overwhelming inbox? Or flooded by an ever-growing Substack story feed?
If you’re reading this, you probably enjoy email newsletters, Substack posts, and news articles, like I do. Yet, the endless stream of information pouring into our phones, tablets, and laptops every day, is enough to sink the Titanic.
But we don’t have to take it all in. We get to choose.
When I open my email in the morning, I glance at the subject line or sender and know in seconds if it’s worth my precious time or not. If not, I swipe right and delete.
But when something catches my eye—a favorite blogger, an article with a title that speaks to me—I either open it and read it immediately, or I save it for later.
As a writer, I’m also on the other side of this issue. I pour many words into the stream. And once they’re dumped into the cyberspace pool, all I can do is hope and pray my readers can find them. That they connect with them. That somehow my words make a difference.
Will my readers find and connect with my words?
That is the big question every writer faces. So every now and then, we ask YOU, dearest reader, to help us.
Below you’ll find a link to a brief Reader Survey. Its purpose is two-fold.
1. You help me determine what to write about, what extras to offer, etc.
2. I help you get more meaningful and engaging content in your inbox.
If my topics aren’t right for you, feel free to unsubscribe. No questions asked. No hard feelings. Well, maybe a tiny hard feeling, but I’ll get over it. And I get it. We all have a limited capacity for the words that hit us everyday.
Whether you read every post I send, open them once in a while, or haven’t read my words in a long time, I hope you’ll click the link and complete this quick survey! Respondents so far have told me it’s “Easy-Peasy!”
As a thank-you, one respondent will be randomly chosen to receive a free copy of one of my books (your choice).
Sorry. The deadline has passed for the drawing. But you can still complete the survey!!
